WHAT IS 'SCRIP'?
It is a term that means 'substitute money'; you are purchasing negotiable gift certificates/cards that are used just like cash. We call our program T.R.I.P. Other schools call their program Scrip or Script.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Anyone and everyone—parents whose children attend C.W.C. now or will attend in the future, grandparents, uncles & aunts, cousins, friends, C.W.C. society members.
IS IT HARD TO PARTICIPATE?
No! It’s easy. The hardest part is probably making the commitment to start.
HOW DO I GET STARTED?
HOW OFTEN DO I HAVE TO ORDER?
You may order whenever you wish. However, establishing a routine (weekly, every other week, monthly, etc.) will help you keep in a T.R.I.P. mindset.
IS THERE A MINIMUM AMOUNT I NEED TO ORDER?
No. If you want, start with gas and grocery certificates.
WHAT IF I CAN’T AFFORD TO TIE UP MY MONEY FOR ONE WEEK WHILE I’M WAITING FOR MY CERTIFICATES TO ARRIVE?
We’ve got you covered—just write “Deferred” on the outside of your order envelope and on the top of your order form. Then, pay when you pick up your order instead of when you place your order.
I’VE READ ALL THE T.R.I.P. INFORMATION BUT I’M STILL CONFUSED. AM I A HOPELESS CASE?
Never! Contact a TRIP committee member and they will gladly sit down with you at your convenience and walk you through everything. Just give one of us a call.
