Commencement Ceremonies
for the Class of 2008

The final week of the school year brings with it the commencement services for both the 8th grade and senior class of 2008. We rejoice and give thanks to God for the gifts of our students and celebrate their talents, seeking God's blessings on the Kingdom work ahead of them in their futures.

Eighth grade graduation will be held on Wednesday, May 21st at the Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Waupun at 7:00 PM. Joel Alsum, parent of one of the graduates, will provide the graduation address. A time of fellowship and celebration to recognize the graduates will follow the ceremony.

The Senior Class of 2008 will have their Commencement on Friday, May 24th. The 7:00 PM ceremony will be held at in the Secondary Campus Gymnasium. Peter Schultz is the class valedictorian, while Jon Posthuma and Nick Van Ee are the co-salutatorians. Hans Gochenauer, director for Beaver Dam area Youth for Christ, will be the graduation speaker. Brian Hofman will give the Junior Class Farewell, while Bryant Greenfield will give the Senior address. The Board and faculty invite the general public to attend this time of worship and thankfulness.

Mark Buteyn accepts Administrator position

The Central Wisconsin Christian Board is pleased to announce that Mark Buteyn has been offered and accepted the position of Administrator beginning in the 2008-2009 school year. Mr. Buteyn has faithfully served CWC as a high school teacher for 26 years. He is highly regarded as a top-notch classroom teacher with a deep love and care for his students and a life-long passion for Christ-centered education. The Board is excited to have Mark move into this administrative role, and to utilize his gifts and those of the staff to continue to make Central Wisconsin Christian a dynamic place to help students see today’s world through God’s eyes. We rejoice with God’s faithfulness!!!
