Internet Safety Tips
1. First educate yourself, then your child. Model appropriate technology use.
2. Use Internet filtering and blocking software.
3. Tell your children NOT to put photos of themselves on the Internet or to give out their names, addresses, phone numbers, schools, or other personal information online.
4. Teach children what to do if they encounter something or someone on the computer that they don’t know or is not right.
5. Manage your children's time on the Internet. Monitor your child’s online activities. Keep computers out of children's bedrooms and in open areas.
