ACT Testing
Just a reminder that juniors should take their ACT test this year. Some students have already taken one. As a school we suggest that juniors take ACT during the summer following their junior year. This allows them to finish Algebra 2 before taking the test. They also have several opportunities to retake the test during the fall and winter their senior year. The test date for this summer is June 11. Students MUST register by MAY 6. If you have questions about this contact Mrs. Schouten.
ACT Test PREP Options
ACT PrepPlus offered by Moraine Park Technical College. This course is a five session course that focus on the four ACT subject areas and test taking strategies. See www.actprepplus.com for more information, email bweilandhare@morainepark.edu, or call 920.887.4441. The cost for this course is $125. Each of the five sessions occur on Saturdays from 9-noon. There are 3 options for this course this year.

UW Fond du Lac also offers a ACT Prep class. This option has four Saturday sessions covering test taking strategies, English, Writing, Reading, Math, and Science. The Real ACT Prep Guide: $30.95 ordered online at ww.actstudent.org. This book contains retired test questions and answers. 3 complete tests. Also in this book are suggestions on how to approach test questions and test taking staregies.
ACT Online Prep: This is the only official online ACT guide. This is the online version to The Real ACT Prep Guide. Cost for one year of access $19.95.
FREE: The website https://www.number2.com is a free test prep place for those who are looking for help in preparing for the ACT, SAT or GRE. You do need to log in with a username, password and email address.
FREE: The website KnowHow2GOWisconsin.org is a free test prep alternative that performs as well as expensive name-brand products. This site continuously tracks your strengths and weaknesses and selects questions based on your skill level. This site also features a Vocabulary Builder.
FREE: The selected questions help students improve their standardized tests scores in tests from ACT, SAT, AP to other generalized tests. No usernames or passwords are needed. There is a student, parent and teacher section on this website.

Ways To Improve ACT Scores
1. Take rigorous course work: English 10, 11, 12, Algebra I, II, Geometry, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
2. Test Preparation: Act Online Test Prep, Review PSAT results.
3. Review format of ACT Test by reviewing your Explore and Plan test.
4. Retest and focus on the areas you scored the lowest.
5. Preparing for the test with a good night of sleep before.
