Administrator 4K-12
Boys Golf Coach
30th Year at CWC
Educational Experience: B.A. Calvin College 1982
Major: American History
Minor: Physical Education
Teaching Responsibilities: I accepted a social studies teaching assignment in the fall of 1982. Through over 25 years of teaching my course load has varied but the two constants were always American Government and American History. In the fall of 2008, I took on the role of administrator of CWC. I am now out of the classroom as a teacher but enjoy many other aspects of our effort in educating for Christ's service.
A favorite program of mine has been the Washington Classroom activity. In 1999, in an effort to promote interest in American history and government, fellow teacher Scott Van Dyke and I began the Washington Classroom program for our high school seniors. Though Scott moved on to Kalamazoo after a couple of years, this educational travel program continues to thrive. Each year, seniors have the opportunity to travel to Washington DC to learn more of our nation's history and the function of American government. I continue to enjoy leading this program with the help of other CWC staff.
Family: I am married and have three children. My wife, Dianne, is in her 25th year of teaching at CWC. Dianne is currently teaching 2nd grade. My oldest child, Scott, is teaching at Central Minnesota Christian in Prinsburg in the social studies field. His wife, Taryn, is a stay at home mom taking care of their daughter, Alysia and son, Jamin. My son Ben is married to Leah Hofman and has recently moved back to Waupun to work in Marine Credit Union in the mortgage loan field. Leah has finished up her degree in Sonography and is empolyed by Columbia St. Mary's. They have son, Conner. My daughter Lexy is a 9th grader at CWC.
