Middle School Contests
Every year CWC students have opportunity to enter art contests that are offered by several organizations. This year several middle school students entered the Sakura of America Cray-Pas Wonderful, Colorful World Contest. Sakura offers the contest to promote their oil pastel line and offers several monitary award levels at varying grade levels. The deadline for entry was December 9th and finalists are notified in the month of March. For more information on the contest go to their website at www.sakuraofamerica.com

High School Students
Several high school art students are currently participating in the "You Can Make a Difference" campaingn offered by the Christophers organization. CWC first started entering the contest in 2009 with an entry by Alyssa DeYoung which took 2nd place with a $500 award.
This year four Advanced Art Students are entering the contest with the deadline for entry being February 20th. Posters are being printed by the Graphic Center in FDL and are posted below. First prize in the national contest is $1000, second prize, $500 and 3rd Price $250. For more information on the contest and to view past winners go to www.christophers.org
